For the second year, William Paterson University and Essex County College will be among the universities participating in the NASA MUREP Educator Institutes at Goddard Space Flight Center scheduled for June 12-16, 2017.  Through this program, teams of pre-service STEM teachers and their faculty sponsor participate in a 5-day Institute at a NASA Center in which they have the opportunity to hear first-hand from NASA scientists about their work and to get a behind the scenes look at NASA facilities and labs.  The Institute experience is also supplemented by online professional development prior to and following the week of the Institute.  In 2016, nationwide 53 Minority Serving Institutions participated in Institutes held at each of the 10 NASA Centers.
