Salem Community College has named Fathia Richardson as the Director of Nursing and Allied Health. She oversees the Associate Degree in Nursing and Practical Nursing Certificate programs, and several allied health degree and certificate programs.
Richardson comes to SCC with 22 years of nursing experience. Most recently, she was director of the practical nursing program with Prism Career Institute in Egg Harbor Twp. Previously, she worked at Prism’s Cherry Hill site as director of the nurse aide program, assistant director of the practical nursing program and a practical nursing instructor.
Earlier, she was a faculty member with Capital Health School of Nursing and Lincoln Technical Institute, director of care delivery with Manor Care, a staff RN with Virtua Health System and Voorhees Pediatric Facility, and a catastrophic case manager with Independence Blue Cross.
Richardson holds a post-master’s certificate in applied health informatics from Johns Hopkins University, a master’s of science in nursing from Walden University, a bachelor’s in nursing from Immaculata University, an associate degree in nursing from Gloucester County College and a practical nursing diploma from Technical Institute of Camden County.
